Meet joshua
Joshua Miller has spent most of his life moving between workshops and studios.
Over the past thirty-five years his work has included sculpture, ceramics, painting, architectural metals, mechanical systems, and advanced manufacturing. He founded his first company, Jacob Møller Projects, in 2006, designing and fabricating custom decorative gates and architectural metalwork in Northern Colorado.
Drawing from two decades of fabrication experience running AP Precision Metals in San Diego, and a lifelong engagement with art and design, Joshua founded Dekafold to bring decorative architectural metalwork into a contemporary manufacturing framework.
His interest in ornament began long before Dekafold. Influenced by historic ironwork, architectural ceramics, and the decorative traditions found throughout Europe, he believes beauty and utility were never meant to be separate disciplines. Through standardized systems, patented mechanisms, and modern manufacturing methods, Dekafold seeks to make expressive architectural metalwork more accessible, adaptable, and practical for contemporary architecture and public spaces.
He lives and works between California and Copenhagen.
